Deeply sorry I haven't posted as much as I have wanted to recently (thanks to mounds of homework, other little projects I have been working on, and the occasional online shopping daze that I get stuck in). Don't fret! I have been gathering a couple little posts for you. The other day I met with Bianca Tankersly. She is a Fashion Marketing and Management major that plans on working in Fashion PR after graduation. She has the sweetest little southern accent. Y'all know...the kind that makes southern girls so charming and cute!
Anyway, I went to her house to interview her about her style. Surprisingly, I am really enjoying the part where I actually go to other peoples houses to take pictures of them and all of their stuff.
The interviews have been great; learning about other girls and their inspirations, favorite designer, brands, stores, products, and so on. However, what I am totally loving is finding all of the unique little ideas that other people come up with to display their jewelry for example, or decorate their furniture. When I first walked into Bianca's house I was drawn to her brightly collaged coffee table. My mind automatically started racing, thinking of what piece of furniture in my house I could adhere my own little magazine swipe collection to. I'm pondering the possibilities and evaluating which piece of furniture will be subject to my "Bianca inspired self decorating". Don't worry, when I get around to doing it I will definitely
If only I could make a career out of photographing other peoples randomly intriguing ideas. Hmmm... I guess I have to learn how to use my camera better first. I'm trying. I really am! So please bare with me. In my next post you'll see I even have been trying out the manual settings, not using the flash, aperture, f-stop, all that craziness that I learned in Intro to Photo, and apparently unlearned sometime after that. Regardless of the quality of my photography skills, I have thoroughly enjoyed snappin' all these pictures for you. I do hope you are enjoying them too!

post some pictures of it. For now

Bianca may come off as a cute little southern girl but her shoe collection is far from shy. With a fierce shoe collection like hers I don't know that I could ever decide what shoes to wear! How lucky to have a closet full of possibilities!

"One of my style icons is Vanessa Marcil. Do you know who that is? She used to be married to Brian Austin Green. He’s married to Megan Fox now. I really like her; she has a really classy style. I get most my inspiration for style from celebrities and from my favorite shows, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl. I love Blair Waldorf and Serena - both of their styles.
My style is really classic. Jeans, button-up shirts, big shoes – really tall platforms. I don’t like skinny heels. I also like to wear a lot of bracelets. During the day when I’m hanging out I like to be casual and comfortable. I’ll usually wear shorts and a t-shirt. When I go out I’ll wear a short belted dress with a pair of tall platforms and fishnet tights – crazy fishnet tights. I have this all sequin dress, its probably my
favorite thing in my closet because it’s just fun, but I hardly ever wear it.
Michael Kors is my favorite brand right now. I really like all of his designs, especially his bags and jewelry. He always keeps with the same aesthetic and it’s really similar to my taste. I like dark colors like black and grey. I also really like Elie Saab. They have really pretty dresses. BCBG has really nice dresses and shoes too. Lately, though since it’s summer I’ve really been liking brightly colored shorts. I just bought a pair of pink ones and a pair of orange ones from J. Crew. And I love Juicy. I’ve always liked Juicy Couture because it’s just, girly. I have a Juicy tracksuit. I love it. And they have really cute dresses and terry cloth rompers now. Recently Kate Spade’s new line of handbags has really caught my eye.
I usually shop in department stores. Neiman Marcus is my favorite. When I’m online I usually shop at Victoria’sSecret.com. It’s so easy I can just use my card and order whatever. I also like Shopbop.com and NastyGal.com. I always order shoes from Nasty Gal because they have Jeffrey Campbell shoes and those are my favorite. Although, if my house were burning down I would definitely grab my Vera Wang shoes.
When I get up I usually do what ever is easiest with my hair, like braid it- or put a hat on and go. I only use a little bit of make up and throw on some comfortable clothes. I always use Mac make-up for everything. I really like the Mac liquid eyeliner. Mac has a new Wonder Woman collection and everything is really big. It’s all really brightly colored. They have these big lip-glosses and lip sticks. They are cute. I don’t have any thing from the Wonder Woman collection yet but my sister does and I really want something. I also like TooFaced Lip Injection, for lip-gloss. I can’t live without my Burt’s Bees chap stick. It’s the one thing that I would pick over everything else."
