Roxy

I realize I haven't yet had a chance to present you with my excitement for this summer. Well lucky for you I'm about to spill the beans...finally!
Yours truley will be living in Los Angeles for an entire three months! Are you excited? I sure am! During my three months in LA I will be interning in Huntington Beach in the Roxy marketing department. More specifically I will be interning with the Roxy Events manager. It's going to be such a great experience, I can already tell. Roxy is a girls brand inspired and derived from the california life style and surfer mentality. It is part of Quiksilver and all started once apon a time when a couple female surfers decided it was time for girls to have a comfortable, cute boardshort made just for them. Since it's birth Roxy has expanded from what was once just girls boardshorts, flip flops and suits to a much wider variety of merchandise categories. They currently offer street clothing - dresses, skirts, pants, shorts, shirts - athletic clothing, accessories, swimsuits, boardshorts, shoes and a array of surf, skate and snowboard gear. I'll continue to post more about Roxy but for now I'll leave you with this...and my top eight pieces of merchandise you can find on Roxy.com currently.

1. Roxy Beach Blanket cover up. You better believe that this cute little number will be worn more than as just a beach over up. I'm thinking...maybe a woven skinny belt, flatforms (you know...flat platforms) and a suede cross-body bag in a standout color, like red.
2. There are two reasons I love this Kass Photo Cruiser Longboard. First of all, the picture of the Golden Gate Bridge. A must when I'm in Cali this summer is to make my way to San Fran. Secondly, I can already picture exploring/ looking super cool riding this baby around.
3. Sunset dress. For some reason I am drawn to this color. I just recently highlighted my hair and am considering going even blonder... this teal color will pop with golden locks!
4. Wind Talkers Sweater. Who wouldn't want a sweater named Wind Talkers? Plus it's gonna be so cozy for days when I'm stuck inside having to bare the fridged AC.
5. Endless Summer dress. The first thing that caught my eye when checking out the new items was this adorable pink fringed neckline maxi dress. I will definetly be sporting this with a floppy hat and flatforms. Can this please be an endless summer?! It hasn't even started but I know I'll never want it to end!
6. Unknown Tank. So maybe it's not the most creative tank but I know there is some strange reason I like it. Maybe how all the colors of the screen print are working together, or all the triangles...when I'm feeling a little more casual this will be my go to tank.
7. Kick flip skirt...This will be cute paired with a blouse and wedges for a day at work.
8. In the Heart Sweetheart Monokini. I have wanted a monokini forever but when it comes down to getting one I always chicken out...It's not like you can wear it to sunbath because you will definitely get some crazy tan lines. I like this one a lot its sexy, yet classy, the silhouette is fun and the crocheted material is interesting but it will take a little more pondering before I spend my dollars on it.

So there you have it my current top eight items. You can have them too by going to roxy.com Oh, and by the way since I will only be working with Roxy part-time I will also be doing an internship with Soul Revival. However, you know I can't dish all the goods out at once so to learn more about my internship with Soul Revival you're going to have to wait for my next post to get the scoop.

Love always, Whit
